Studio B Designs is a creative graphic design agency based in the Northern Territory specialising in strategy, branding, graphic design and printing magic.

Brooke’s old site was on Squarespace, but in good ol’ artist fashion style, hadn’t had time to work on her own site for years. The studio was due for a rebrand as well, so the website was the front face cover to the unveiling of the creative corporate style Brooke is known for.

And designing / building for another designer just means everything had to be perfect.

Love it when the client gives us their moodboards!

We love using subliminal design choices to influece the audience — this build gave us the happy colour shivers! The vast use of white space at the top of the page was used as the navigation and sub navigation right under the header where you could jump to the section of the page.

The white was broken by the use of solid colours like the pink background for more information and blue as a call to action (check out the contact page!)

Brooke’s audience will mainly be on desktop, so we did a fair bit of custom development that isn’t normally seen on Squarespace. Some other bits we love:

• Index page sub navigation to ‘jump’ to sections

• Portfolio hover state on desktop

• Offset imagery

• The custom icons provided by Brooke!

• Custom call-to-action blocks

• FAQ’s that’ll grow in time
